Let's Get Connected
Our vision is to truly be a church that embodies the fullness of Jesus in our communities.

We are so glad you're here!  This site is built to help you find out all the information you  need to know about Stow Alliance.  We are part of a movement called the Christian & Missionary Alliance.  Our aim is to give all of Jesus to all the world, starting with us.  We want to help you get connected with Jesus and take your next step of faith.

Let's be honest. Coming to church for  the first time can be anything from awkward to just plain scary and intimidating.  We want to make sure you have all the resources to make your first visit smooth, free of worry, and enjoyable.  Below we will try to answer some of the most common questions about coming to church.

We'd love to hear from you, so take a minute to complete the form at the bottom of this page and we'll be in touch!

WHAT TO KNOW ON YOUR FIRST VISIT

When you arrive you will be greeted by someone at the door.  From there you can visit our welcome center and ask any other questions you may have.  When you enter from the main entrance you will find:

  • The Welcome Center is located just inside the doors on the left.
  • The lobby will be straight ahead on your left.
  • Free coffee is also located in the lobby.
  • The bathrooms are the far side of the lobby.
  • The sanctuary is located on the right hand side of the lobby.

Upon entering the sanctuary an usher will hand you some information.  You can choose to sit anywhere you'd like.  Once you're seated, if you'd lke to connect a bit more you can scan the QR code on the chair or you could you fill it our right now by clicking here  and tell us a little bit more about yourself.  Our announcements play via video about 10 minutes before the service.  Those are also available on YouTube and social media later in the day in case you miss them.

We offer kid's ministry for ages 0-5th grade on Sunday morning.  Our nursery is connected to the lobby to the right of the two big windows.  We also offer a nursing moms room which is just past the sanctuary doors on the right.  The live feed of the service is also available in the nursing moms room for your convenience.

You will need to sign your kids in at a kiosk or the welcome center (if it's your first visit).  You'll receive a tag a with a unique number on it that you will use to pick up your kids after service.  If your child needs you during the service we will send you a text message letting you know that your child needs your prompt attention.  You can pre-register your kids in advance of your visit by clicking here

All kids ministry gatherings are upstairs on the second floor.  You can get there a few different ways, but the best way is right from the lobby.  Look for the stairs to the left of the coffee.  Take those stairs and follow the red line all the way to the kids area.  You can also use the elevator in the brightly painted hallway off the lobby as well.

Our main kids environment on Sunday is called Treasure Seekers.  Our amazing volunteer team runs Treasure Seekers all service long for both services.  If you are going to be here the entire morning, we also offer Kids Cove, which like a little oasis for your kids in between the services.  This gives the kids a little break as they move from one gathering to the next.  You can find more details by visiting our kids ministry page.

Our main mid-week environment is called Way Finders.  Way Finders meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm in the Kids Wing.  You will sign your kids just like Sunday, but you won't need labels on Wednesday.  You will need to personally walk your kids to the kids area and pick them up in the kids area and sign them out.

A typically church service lasts about 80-90 minutes.  We aim to include variety of elements in the services, but there are some things that are pretty consistent every week.  The annoucements play about 10 minutes before service.  Then we begin with a welcome and some songs aimed at praising God.  Then there is a prayer time, followed by a message.  At the end of the message there is usually a next step or response time followed by a closing blessing.

The parking lot can be accessed from both Stow Road and Arndale Road.  The main parking lot is on the Arndale side.  There is visitor parking along the first parking lot island as you come in, but you can choose any parking spot you like.  The main entrance is under the white overhang on the Arndale side and is marked with big welcome banners.

Clothes.  :-)

We want you to come to church in whatever makes you feel comfortable.  We have some who wear jeans and others who wear suitcoats.  Our heart is that you will come as you are and let Jesus shape your heart and life.

There are many ways to connect at Stow Alliance beyond attending church.  You may want to attend the Alpha Course, which explores the basics of the Christian faith in a conversational way.  Or you might want to click on one of the three options at the bottom of this page.

We also would love to hear from you personally and answer any questions we may have missed. If you fill out the form below, we'll be sure to get back to you as quickly as possible.

This church is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance movement.  We have churches throughout the United States and around the world.  You could sum up what we're all about in this simple phrase, "All of Jesus, for all the world."  You can find out about our values and beliefs by clicking here.
